"Was recommended by a friend to this amazing place! Was spoilt with many choices from the menu :O & we couldn't decide what to go for.. we ended up with.. Cereal Crayfish, Buttermilk Prawn, Clams, Steamed Fish, Crabs!! It was so good and fresh! Cereal crayfish was served with generous amounts of cereal. Loved every dish. The buttermilk prawn was sweet and on point (almost went for a 2nd plate but stomachs were bursting..) Went on the 31 Dec 2025, all the staffs was still working hard despite being on a NYE. Would definitely be one of the top JB SEAFOOD place :)!"

"Nice seafood restaurant. Located near KSL and we went for later dinner (around 9pm) after our massage. No queue for that timing but alot big tables are taken. Outdoor seating only. We ordered stingray, dragon chives and lala. All very well cooked and so delicious. Total costs 78MYR (inclusive 2 plates of rice). Worth the hype and LBN very friendly too!"

"Have been to this food centre before but always been visiting the other seafood stall. Got to know about this and decided to give it a try. We arrived before 6pm and the place was still quite empty. Didn't know if there were indoor seats but we sat outdoors and almost everyone else later did the same. Was a bit hot thought had to wait for a while for the sun to set when the outdoors was much cooler. Had a look at the menu, was pretty simple but usually people come for the seafood, especially like prawns, crabs and crayfish. We only knew we wanted to order the crayfish and the rest we relied on the star on the menu as the recommendations and picked a few other dishes. We had the fragrant chicken, which was quite unique, fried chicken in probably some butter sauce and curry leaves gravy which was quite appetizing. Ordered the hot plate tofu as wanted something simple with sauce. Was not bad but pale in presentation compared to typical ones which had more ingredients, while here is just tofu and egg. The highlight was the cereal prawn which I totally loved the cereal. The crayfish was fresh, of varying weight, but we ordered 1kg and we got 4. Was good but maybe should have done 2 in cereal and 2 in another sauce. Overall a good meal and the bill was still pretty reasonable. You get touts from different stalls coming to you selling satay and juices so you literally sit and people will just come to you. Not a bad place, cheap, good and fresh seafood that is worth trying."

"This place runs from the heart and sincerity of wanting to cook GOOD FOOD. By far the best seafood places I have had - hands down! You must order their black pepper crabs, sauce was evenly coated and succulent meat! We ordered their cereal crayfish, butter milk prawns, kam heong lala and sambal kangkong. No regrets, and we will come again each time we visit JB!"

"We came here on a busy weekend (bus queues into JB were so long we walked across) so it was no surprise that there would be a long wait for food, considering their popularity. We waited an hour plus for food but let me just say, it was definitely worth the wait! Black pepper crab was fresh and sweet, and the cereal slipper lobsters were so good! Will definitely be back again for more! Update: Visited again on a Friday around 5:30pm and there was no wait this time! Seafood was still as fresh and reasonably priced. Horfun was pretty good as well!"

"Ordered the black pepper crab, claypot tofu and cereal prawn. All food are freshly cooked and juicy. The crab is extremely meaty and easy to consume as well. Would come again to try the other food. However, the place is not very brightly lit at night, making it abit hard to see."

"Had a great dining experience at Hai Kee Seafood Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We especially enjoyed the seafood dishes — generous portions and very well seasoned. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was fast even though the restaurant was busy. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. Definitely a solid spot for family meals or gatherings. Will come back again!"

"Food here was the best seafood i’ve had in awhile. So worth it, truly an authentic and tasty experience like no other in JB. Will be coming back here every single time for Zi Char in JB! We had the Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab, Gongong, Sambal Clams and Salted Egg Chicken. Every dish was amazing, crab was well worth it with a large portion. Super succulent and satisfied every single taste bud in our body!"
